The Senior Scene

You and your parents/guardians are invited to our Financial Aid Night on TBD in the RULH High School Lecture Hall.

Please create your FSA ID and have one of your parent/guardian(s) create an FSA ID before that night so we can help you do your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can create this at https://fsaid.ed.gov. When creating FSA ID, DO NOT use your RULH school email. Also, you and your parent/guardian CANNOT use the same email or phone. We will also go over the types of financial aid for college.

More information about scholarships is located in this Google Drive. Ms. Osman will also work with seniors on scholarships during Senior Seminar.

Seniors are allowed to visit colleges (up to 2) with a prearranged form. Please see Ms. Osman for the form. Forms are located outside her office if she is unavailable.

Graduate Service, Inc. supplies our senior cap and gowns and graduation announcements.
Caps and gowns will be distributed on the seniors’ last day, TBD

TBD in the Ripley High School Gymnasium.
This program is intended to recognize and honor those seniors who have won a local scholarship. Scholarships will be presented by school staff and/or Scholarship Committee Members. All seniors who have won a scholarship will receive an invitation to the luncheon in the mail. Lunch will be served.

Graduate Walk-Through will be held that morning, prior to the practice. The bus leaves the high school promptly at 8:00 AM to head to the Middle School, the Elementary, and the Ohio Valley Manor. Seniors will walk through the halls in their caps and gowns to show the younger students and residents what they are working towards and gives the graduates a chance to see their previous schools and teachers.

Practice begins at 9:00 AM, upon returning to the high school, on the Wednesday before Graduation.

The class panoramic picture will be taken before graduation practice begins.

The Class of 2023 Commencement will be held on Friday, May 26th, at 7:00 PM in the Ripley High School Gymnasium. Reporting time for seniors is 6:00. Doors will open at 5:30. No tickets will be given. Seating will be first come, first served.

Pictures will also be taken during graduation and will be available to view online for 90 days after graduation. The website is events.lifetouch.com. The event name is R-U-L-H High School Commencement 2023.

Girls may want to wear something light colored so that their outfit does not show through their white gown and should think of safety and comfort when choosing a shoe to wear. Boys may want to wear dress pants and a dress shirt; ties are optional. Jeans and shorts are not appropriate wear for the graduation ceremony. If you have questions about appropriate graduation attire, please contact the high school office at (937) 392-4384.

In order to avoid pranks during the graduation ceremony, diplomas will be handed out after the ceremony in the cafeteria.

*Seniors Not Participating In Commencement: Diplomas may be picked up from the high school office beginning the Wednesday following Commencement.

*Final Transcripts: Seniors may request a final transcript be sent to a college or employer. Forms to request transcripts will be given to seniors.
