The purpose of this webpage is to provide students and families with opportunities within the areas of college readiness, career exploration, and academic and personal success. Upcoming events are listed at the bottom of this webpage.  For scholarship information, navigate the "High School" drop-down menu, then use the "Counselor" tab to access the "Scholarships" link on the right. Open House 
Open House for all students is scheduled for Monday, August 15th, 2022, from 4-7 p.m.  
 
CTC Visit 
Sophomores will visit the CTC on November 16, 2022, during the school day. 
 
ASVAB
The ASVAB, a career interest inventory, will be given to all Juniors and those Seniors who wish to retest on November 10, 2022, at 8:15 AM at RULH HS. The ASVAB Interpretation for all those who take the exam will be held on December 7, 2022, at 8:15 AM
 
PSAT 
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying (PSAT/NMSQT) Test is scheduled to given by Ms. Osman on October 12, 2022, during the school day. The cost is $17 for students. Any sophomore or junior is eligible and must sign up in the office. 
 
Financial Aid Night 
Ms. Osman has posted information in Google Drive regarding how to complete the FAFSA, which is located hereSenior students, graduating juniors, and their parents and guardians are welcomed and encouraged to reach out to the Financial Aid office of ANY college or Ms. Osman to learn more about Financial Aid and the FAFSA and obtain help with FAFSA completion.  
 
CCP Information Session

Ms. Osman has posted information in Google Drive regarding how to take college courses while in high school. The program called is College Credit Plus, or CCP for short. These forms have to be completed each year. Students currently enrolled in grades 6 through 11 who are interested in participating taking college courses during the 2023-24 school year and their parents or guardians should attend the CCP Information Session held in the fall/winter.  Here is a link to the CCP Information PowerPoint. To be eligible to participate, students and their parent/guardian(s) must sign both forms and return them to their Counselor by April 1. 

 

ACT for Juniors

The ACT will be given to all junior students for free at the high school beginning on March 14, 2023. Students who receive double and triple time will finish the rest of that week.
