RULH Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Mrs. Patricia Skaggs as she has been selected as the 2020-2021 RULH Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Skaggs is an outstanding teacher who has served the students of RULH Local School District for 31 years. Mrs. Skaggs has taught Consumer Science at Aberdeen Elementary, RULH Jr./Sr. High School and RULH Middle School. Extended Learning

On February 9, 2021, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine asked schools and districts to work with their communities and educational stakeholders to help students continue to advance academically and to make up for any learning that may have been lost or delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and related disruptions.

Governor DeWine has requested that schools and districts design plans that address learning recovery and extended learning opportunities to meet the needs of students that could include, but are not limited to, extending the current school year, beginning the new year early, extending the school day or instituting summer programs, tutoring, remote options, and other remedial or supplemental activities. Free Pre-K at RULH

For families that live in the RULH Local School District, the Brown County Educational Service Center is now accepting applications for free Pre-K classes at RULH Elementary for the 2021-2022 school year. Applications can be picked up at the RULH Elementary school or found on the BCESC Website: https://www.brownesc.us. More details can be found in the flyer posted below.

COVID-19 Reporting

Effective September 8, 2020, the Ohio Department of Health issued an order for school districts to begin reporting any positive cases of COVID-19 among students, teachers, staff members, or coaches to the local health department. In turn, each week the local health department will then report to the Ohio Department of Health to keep track of COVID-19 cases in schools.

The Ohio Department of Health shall publish weekly and cumulative case data by school, or school district including a breakdown by students and staff every Thursday. This information will be published on coronavirus.ohio.gov.

RULH will also publish our weekly results to our district webpage, and that data can be found here. The information posted will reflect any cases on or later than September 8, 2020.
