Click on the image below to read "News From the Nest," the weekly newsletter from RULH Superintendent Jamie Wilkins containing information about the RULH School District, including our schools, staff, and students.
Effective September 8, 2020, the Ohio Department of Health issued an order for school districts to begin reporting any positive cases of COVID-19 among students, teachers, staff members, or coaches to the local health department. In turn, each week the local health department will then report to the Ohio Department of Health to keep track of COVID-19 cases in schools.
The Ohio Department of Health shall publish weekly and cumulative case data by school, or school district including a breakdown by students and staff every Thursday. This information will be published on coronavirus.ohio.gov.
RULH will also publish our weekly results to our district webpage, and that data can be found here. The information posted will reflect any cases on or later than September 8, 2020. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please reach out to the district office or RULH School Nurse Elaine Manning.
Food Service Announcement:
The Ohio Department of Education has announced free meals for all students effective Monday, September 14th, through December 31st. This announcement directly impacts RULH High School.  RULH High School students were previously receiving free breakfast but NOT lunch.   With this announcement, all high school students will receive FREE LUNCH beginning September 14th through December 31st.   Unless the program is extended, high school students will begin paying for lunch in January (unless the student qualifies for free or reduced lunch).
Students in the RULH Elementary and Middle School were already receiving free breakfast and lunch due to qualifying for the community eligibility program prior to the school year.   Therefore, all elementary and middle school students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch all school year.
Online students may get free breakfast and lunch by going to the district website (www.rulh.us) and completing the survey under the “back to school” tab or call Mrs. Kim Meyers directly at (937) 392-1527.
The RULH School District will provide meals for families with students who are completing their 2020-2021 education through the RULH Online Learning program this school year. Please click on the image below for more details about this program. To sign up for the online learner meal pickup, complete the survey available under the Back to School drop down menu at the top right of the district website or by clicking here.
Revised RULH Reopening Plan
Click here or on the image below for the revised RULH Reopening Plan that will be presented to the RULH Board of Education for approval at their regular meeting on August 19, 2020.
Back to School Paperwork
Given the current requirements for social distancing, RULH parents are being asked to complete back to school paperwork through the online portal called OneView. OneView is available under the Parents and Students drop down menu near the top right of the school district website or by clicking this link. A guide to accessing your child's "Back to School" forms is also avaiable under the Parents and Students drop down menu or by going here. After reviewing that guide to using OneView, if there are still questions, please call your child's school for further assistance .
If your child will be attending RULH Online at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, please call the school to inform the building secretary. The deadline to enroll your child for the online option is Friday, August 14. Once your child is enrolled, you will receive a letter in the mail with instructions describing how to proceed with RULH Online. For answers to frequently asked questions about RULH Online, click on the document posted below.

Mrs. Jenny Brown is the 2020 RULH Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Brown will be a candidate for Brown County Teacher of the Year when that award is announced in October.
Mrs. Brown began her teaching career in 2004 at RULH Elementary, taught at Adams County Ohio Valley for 9 years then returned home to RULH in 2015. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Mrs. Brown is also the RULH Elementary musical director.
She enjoys helping students learn to play the recorders, watching their faces light up when they understand a musical concept, and giving them standing ovations for stellar performances. Mrs. Brown states, “I am blessed to be their teacher.”

Congratulations to Mrs. Jenny Brown!
