The school year is winding down!

The school year is winding down!

Calling All 5 Year Olds For Kindergarten Registration!

If you are a parent of a child who will be five years old by September 30, 2019, it is time to register for Kindergarten! Ripley Elementary is still registering students for Kindergarten for next school year. If you haven't gotten your child registered please do so as soon as possible!

When registering your child, please bring a copy of your child's original birth certificate (with a raised seal), an up to date immunization record, your child's social security card, proof of your residence, such as, a bill displaying your name and address, a parent/guardian photo identification (driver's license), and any custody/court papers relevant to your child. We will make copies of these documents and return the originals immediately.

Another school year is winding down and with that comes some housekeeping items! If your child takes medication at school please prepare to pick this medication up  by May 31st. Someone will be in the office to pick it up if you are unable to do so by the last day of school. Absolutely no medication will be sent home with students. All over the counter medication will need to be picked up as well. If medication is not picked up by May 31st it will be disposed of properly as we cannot store medication over the summer.

Parents of current 6th grade students (students going into 7th grade in the fall) please be aware your child needs a Tetanus and a Meningococcal vaccine prior to returning in the fall. If students do not have proof of vaccination or a declamation waiver signed by fair break they cannot return after fair break.

Parents of upcoming seniors please note your child needs a Meningococcal vaccine prior to returning in the fall. They will also not be permitted back after fair break if we do not have documentation of this vaccine.

Medications: When we return in the fall please note how we handle medications taken at school: If your child needs to take medication at school please contact me so we can get the medication to school and fill out the appropriate paper work. Please DO NOT send medication to school with a student and a note to give it. I will not dispense prescription medication without a doctor's order. All prescription medication needs to be brought to the school by a parent or guardian, not sent in with the student. If a student needs over the counter medication, I still need to speak with a parent/guardian and fill out appropriate paperwork. Not contacting me prior to the student needing the medication may cause a delay in receiving it. Again, thank you for understanding the process to dispense medication at school.

Medication Forms: Students who need to take mediation at school will need to have a form signed by a parent/guardian. Prescription medication has to have a form signed by a physician. I have attached the forms below and you may print these forms and bring them in filled out with the medication.

OTC Med Form

Physician Med Form

Prescription Med Form
