Kindergarten Registration Is Coming Up!

Kindergarten Registration Is Coming Up!

Calling All 5 Year Olds For Kindergarten Registration!

If you are a parent of a child who will be five years old by September 30, 2019, it is time to register for Kindergarten! Ripley Elementary is starting the process of registering students for kindergarten for next school year. Ripley Elementary will hold Kindergarten Registration on February 20th from 4:00-7:00 during P/T Conferences. Packets may be picked up in the elementary office starting on Friday February 8th.

When registering your child, please bring a copy of your child's original birth certificate (with a raised seal), an up to date immunization record, your child's social security card, proof of your residence, such as, a bill displaying your name and address, a parent/guardian photo identification (driver's license), and any custody/court papers relevant to your child. We will make copies of these documents and return the originals immediately.

We made it through January and now on to February, however, we still have a lot of winter left to get through. Just a few friendly reminders on how to stay healthy and how to keep our kids healthy. First, if they are running a fever or vomiting please keep them home from school until they are fever free and no vomiting for 24 hours. Remind students to wash their hands frequently and always after using the restroom. Students need lots of rest while they are growing so please help them to get 8-10 hours of sleep each night. Last but not least please make sure students are eating a well balanced diet with lots of fruits and veggies.

Medications: If your child needs to take medication at school please contact me so we can get the medication to school and fill out the appropriate paper work. Please DO NOT send medication to school with a student and a note to give it. I will not dispense prescription medication without a doctor's order. All prescription medication needs to be brought to the school by a parent or guardian, not sent in with the student. If a student needs over the counter medication, I still need to speak with a parent/guardian and fill out appropriate paperwork. Not contacting me prior to the student needing the medication may cause a delay in receiving it. Again, thank you for understanding the process to dispense medication at school.

Medication Forms: Students who need to take mediation at school will need to have a form signed by a parent/guardian. Prescription medication has to have a form signed by a physician. I have attached the forms below.
