The RULH Board of Education has adopted a revised cell phone policy so the district meets the requirements of Ohio HB 250 that seeks to minimize the use of cell phones in K-12 schools. For RULH Jr./Sr. High School, the premise of the plan is summarized by the tagline “First bell to last bell no cell." Under this revised policy, students will be permitted use of cell phones prior to the academic school day (7:50 a.m.), and students will be permitted use of cell phones following the last school bell  (2:55 p.m.). Accidents happen! When they happen to your child, someone must pay the bills. Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company is offering RULH families accident-only insurance plans to help cover your child either 24 hours a day (24-Hour Plan) or while in school (School-Time Plan). These plans provide benefits to help meet the cost of medical and hospital expenses.
 
If you have other insurance, these plans can help offset the deductibles and coinsurance for those plans. If you have no other insurance, these plans will provide basic coverage. You can read more about the plans and download the 2024-2025 Student Accident Insurance Application here.
